Crochet Love

I learned how to crochet granny-squares this summer, and made a blanket as a gift for my sister's graduation from WSU.  I am still working on making it a bit bigger to give to her when she is home around Thanksgiving time, and then will add a simple colored border.

For any of you who are up for the small challenge, learning to crochet granny-squares is easy-peasy! Just You Tube "learn to crochet granny square" and you'll get all sorts of videos showing you exactly what to do.  This flickr site also has some step-by-step photos.

I love the pops of color and think crocheting is just beautiful! Enjoy these project photos for some inspiration!

  2. I love your afghan so much. I've been making solid granny squares for scarf. In all honesty though, I started it in February and it still isn't finished. I took a summer break so I need to get back on it.

I think my next project is totally going to be a afghan, and yours is my favorite I've seen. Love the colors and the white border. You've inspired me.

And thanks for joining the Dare to DIY blog parties. SHould be a ball!
